What We Believe

•We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God without error.

•We believe in the New Testament Church as established by Jesus and the teachings of the Apostles.

•We believe the Bible teaches that God is the Creator and Sustainer of human life; that God creates each person in His image; and that life is therefore sacred, from conception to natural death.

•We believe that God creates each person as male or female; that these two distinct, complementary genders reflect the “image of God” in humankind; and that each person’s biological gender is an intrinsic, immutable aspect of his or her nature and identity.

•We believe the Bible teaches that God established marriage in the beginning as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman; that He has reserved sexual intimacy as an expression of love and commitment between married couples; and that any intimate expression of sexuality outside of Biblical marriage is sin.

•We believe that through the grace that came with Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have the promise of spending eternity with Him.

•We believe that to receive this grace we must be obedient to the teachings of Jesus which include:

FAITH - to trust in the things of God and His Word even when the world would have us think otherwise.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” - Romans 10:17

BELIEVE - to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is your only hope of eternal life.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16

REPENT - to change the way you live your life - to do a 180 degree turn from sin.

“I tell you no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” - Luke 13:3

CONFESS - to publicly acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and died for your sins.

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” - Matthew 10:32-33

BAPTISM - to be immersed into water for the forgiveness of your sins and the receiving of the Holy Spirit.

“Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” - Acts 2:38 -Mark 16:16

FAITHFULNESS - to walk with Jesus daily and do only the things that would bring honor and glory to Him until the day He calls us home to be with Him.

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” - James 1:12 - Revelation 2:10

CHURCH PARTICIPATION - We believe too, that the Bible teaches that every Christian should be an active member of a local church. We believe that the Bible instructs church members to:

•Not forsake the assembling of themselves together on the Lord’s Day - regularly meeting for the purpose of fellowship, worship, teaching and to partake of the Lord’s Supper.

•Use their natural abilities and spiritual gifts to serve one another.

•Love one another, bear with one another, accept one another and forgive one another.

•Seek unity, agreement and peace with one another.

•Encourage and build up one another.

•Bear one another’s burdens and pray for one another.

•Spur one another to love and good deeds.

•Submit to the authority of the Elders of the church.

•Support the church financially.

•Pursue personal holiness and obedience to God’s Word.

•Strive together to fulfill the Great Commission.
